Mixing 5-htp and anti-stress pills Okay?Or not?
I took a anti stress pill wich contains albizzia,chinese yam,ginseng root,fleece flower root,rehmannia,white peony,ligstrum fruit,thorouwax,chinese licorice and then i took a pill of 100mg of 5-htp.
Do they have bad effects if mixed?
It is nice to use alternatives to synthetics for health and wellbeing, but most of us are not trained in regards to alternative medicine. It is best to get advice from someone who is trained in alternative medicine like a naturopath. If i were not sure of a pharmaceutical drug I was taking and the contraindications of mixing it with another medicine or herb, i would go to a pharmacist or doctor who may have a better understanding. Herbs can be very powerful and can have side effects and can cause allergic reactions in some people. They are very good and useful to heal.Just be careful. Seek the assistance of an herbalist or naturopath.
