Menopause? I had a total hysterectomy 4 years ago to 36. I went through the usual symptoms for over a year.?
All symptoms have disappeared. Now I am having hot flashes and night sweats again! Arrgh! I thought my sleepless nights have been more! Will I go periodically through this? I do not take hormones, I exercise regularly and eat a healthy diet and balanced. Is a call to OB / GYN in order or is this normal? I talked to my doctor .. 4 years after surgery (and yes I did ovoectomy.sp? Also) the symptoms come and go periodically … sigh .. I never took the horse urine and I'm about to start! Suppose I'll Just grin and bear it!
Always consult your doctor – better safe than sorry. Sometimes, when performing a hysterectomy, they leave a part of one ovary intact (in fact, sometimes they leave all the ovaries, and just remove the uterus), so you still have some hormones your body needs – This may be hitting menopause now.
