How man carbs does a carb blocker block?
I’m on a low carb diet and just in case I bought a carb blocker. I have no idea how many carbs it blocks though, or if it would ven work.
So does anyone know how many grams of carbs it might block? and if it would even work?

Most products claim the tablets reduce between 30 and 45 grams of carbohydrates from entering the body.

Dietary supplements are unregulated, so few have any decent studies run on them, ever. Most of them do work to aid in weight loss because, at the very least, they contain fiber. The faster your food moves, the less of it you absorb. Oh Boy! The Joys of Diarrhea!
Some ‘carb blockers’ claim to suppress enzymes which digest starch, which sounds good, but even if it works, most of the calories from starchy foods comes from the oils and fats they are prepared or garnished with, and most excess calories are consumed as *fat*.
Fiber is proven to absorb fat and make it impossible to absorb that fat into your system from your intestine. This is why oatmeal helps out with heart disease. Guess what? Fiber in any form is a better fat blocker than a carb blocker.
*IF* these carb blockers that rely on preventing starch digestion actually do prevent starch digestion, then you will have a gut full of starch. Lots of things ferment starch, and the gas would be miserable, if it weren’t for the free flowing diarrhea that should accompany that. If you could not digest starch, your innards would treat that large molecule as… You guessed it! Fiber!
