The truth is that the human brain has evolved over 1,000 's of years and is designed for concentration targeted. You may be able to do something automatic like riding a bicycle on a quiet country road while talking to a friend, but when you meet the traffic you've probably both stop talking if you can focus.
Scientists have used imaging techniques to explore what happens when you multi task. Their results suggest we are not multi-task so that stopping and starting. This immersion in a bath and out to perform tasks in sequence, actually slows down the time taken for each task. So overall we are occupied for more long. We also make mistakes especially anything that requires careful consideration.
Children are even less capable At Multi effective tasks. Some children may enjoy the variety and seek extra stimulation it offers, but so highlighted the state of mind certainly affects the quality of what is achieved. While we do not know what causes ADHD, we know that many tasks do not allow children to learn deep concentration and focus.
Five tips for success of several tasks.
1) Choose simple tasks that are dull and repetitive and multiple tasks helps you stay active
2) Use multi-tasking for the adrenaline rush when you are tired, but make sure you have time to wind later.
3) Avoid multiple tasks when careful thought or problem solving is necessary. For performing other tasks to complete one by one, giving each full attention to your file.
4) Be aware that you may be distracted and make mistakes. Allow extra time to check once you've finished
5) If you want have music in the background, choose something that you do not really listen carefully. If you find yourself following the tune them, you probably was distracted rather than helped by the music. Sometimes it is an acceptable compromise off if you know that otherwise you'll be tempted to abandon. Be aware that you will work more slowly thereafter.
