Cynergy TK is a proprietary ingredient developed by the Company Xtendlife located in New Zealand. One of the main components the formula is a compound called Functional Keratin, which was developed by another New Zealand company. Functional Keratin was created by the company KERATEC using patented processes that allowed for the extraction and the softening of a hard protein found in wool from sheep. Protein is very similar to that which forms the epidermis, the outermost layers of the skin.

What is different in functional keratin is that the company was able to soften without distort it. KERATEC has a number of patented processes, which enable them to accomplish this feat.
Cynergy TK contains a combination Functional keratin and a nutritional hydrolyzed keratin. The two ingredients work together to provide better results than would be observed with either ingredient alone. Some positive benefits observed during the following tests:
- Increase skin cell production as much as 160% increase in cell proliferation of the skin after three days. The average increase was about 140%.
- Improved elasticity and firmness -42% improvement in elasticity was observed after 18 days of use
- Decrease inflammation of the compound interferes with the production of prostaglandin E2, the main cause of the redness and inflammation in skin cells.
