What is the best way to get rid of lower back pain? Arthritis.?
Every time I pick up an heavy object 20lbs. or more I’m out for at least a week.No bending allowed.Help me it hurts.
Low back pain can be due to many factors. The fact you’re having problems lifting objects can have a lot to do with the way you are lifting them. Typically, you want to squat down bending both knees, and lift with your legs, not your back. The object you are lifting should also be close to your body, decreasing the amount of force required to lift it. Weak abdominal muscles can also contribute to back pain. I would consider going to a physical therapist who would be able to instruct you in proper lifting techniques, exercises to improve deep abdominal strength, and help relieve any soreness you are experiencing. Exercise is also one of the best ways to help with arthritis.
