Iron deficiency anemia and I have a question about eating?

I am 14 years old. My mother and I are going to the doctor tomorrow for a control. Anyway, my doctor says I should eat better and have more iron in my diet. Yeah .. ok? Guess what means? (She also told me to eat a small portion of red meat .. uh .. I do not eat red meat so I guess it's a problem) She gave me a suggestion iron supplement, too. So yesterday, I had to eat: Afternoon (1:40 is the moment I wake up .. I sleep a lot ..) A, A-fiber cereals, yogurt, vanilla and banana:. Snack (4:00) Wheat Thins, a slice of cheese and a glass of milk Dinner (6:15): Fish Fillet & I cup whole-wheat pasta with parmesan cheese. This is for people who know or atleast doing research, please? I asked my mother and she said it's good, but I want to know the opinions of others. Thank you for your help:)

First I'm not a bit surprised that you sleep a lot, you are anemic – they sleep a lot -. Secondly, you do not eat red meat for iron. If you do not like meat fine, but be sure to substitute other foods that take the place of those who, green leafy vegetables, pulses, etc. etc. Pasta and grains is very good, but watching your diet is very low. Loads of carbohydrates with some protein and raw fat and a banana … where are the vegetables? What about nuts and legumes??
